  • Founder

    Thomas Swearingen has over 41 years of public accounting experience, working under two Certified Public Accountants and started his business in 1987 as a sole proprietorship in Seminole, Oklahoma. He built the business up from scratch and moved the practice to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2002. In 2014 Thomas and his wife, Esperanza, who started working for Thomas in 2004, bought the building the practice now operates out of and employed two more employees. Thomas graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1980 and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

  • Office Manager

    Esperanza Swearingen joined her husband as a bookkeeping clerk in 2004. Her duties include payroll preparation, payroll tax payments, invoice preparation and accounts payable. She also meets with clients and goes over the e-file signature forms and the payment vouchers. Esperanza spent 14 years in the retail business, 13 of these years as counter manager and sales representative at Dillard's and one year at Bath and Body Works. Esperanza was born in Bogota Colombia, the youngest of 8 siblings. She moved to the United States in July of 1979 and became a citizen in 1988. She has two sons, Oz and Justin and two grandsons, Finn and Drake. Esperanza enjoys traveling and spoiling her two grandsons.

 

  • I've been a longtime resident of Shawnee, OK; where I graduated from Shawnee High School. After high school, In 2018 I married my husband Colt, and also welcomed a baby boy named Ruger. I then went on to Seminole State College where I graduated with an associate in science with regard of Business in 2020. While gaining experience being a bookkeeper from 2020, I also welcomed a baby girl named Kinley in 2021. I am currently pursuing two degrees at the University of Central Oklahoma; a bachelors in accounting and Human Resources Management. I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, going to the beach, and traveling the country.

 

  • I am a lifelong Shawnee resident and a graduate of Shawnee High School. After graduation, I went on to attend Oklahoma Baptist University where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and graduated in May 2018. I was an accountant for Finley & Cook for 3 years before joining Tom's staff in March 2021. I plan to continue my education at the graduate level and sit for the CPA exam in the near future. I have been married to my amazing wife Micaela since August 2017, and we just recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl on December 29, 2021. I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, playing golf, traveling, and watching all of my favorite sports teams. I am blessed with the life that God has given me.
